What the Photo Collection Covers

The photographs on this page cover the specific locations that appear throughout the story told on this site. They are grouped by subject, and every image opens full-size from the gallery below.

The resort. The earliest set shows the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda — the hotel where Peter’s vacation began — its exterior, the pool, and the hotel room itself. These are the only “vacation” images in the collection; everything after them documents what followed.

The court buildings. A set showing the Bermuda Court and the Bermuda Court House — the buildings where the proceedings documented on the court management page took place.

Hamilton Harbour and the prison. Images of Hamilton Harbour and of Westgate Prison, where the vacation ended and the detention period documented across this collection began.

The closing set. A Bermuda sunset, the Bermuda flag, and two final vacation shots from Hamilton.

Each image carries a caption describing the location shown. The full written narrative of how these locations connect is on the Bermuda vacation story page, and the corresponding video records are on the videos page.

Using the Photos With the Story

Every photo on this page has a descriptive caption that names the location shown. That is deliberate: the images are meant to be read as location records — the same way the decision document on the court page and the video clips on the incident page are records of documents and events. Open any image to view it full-size; the caption stays with it.

The resort photos date from the start of the trip, and they are the last images in the collection that show Bermuda the way a visitor sees it. The court buildings, Hamilton Harbour, and Westgate Prison are the locations that appear in the legal story — and they appear in the same order on this page as the institutions do throughout the record set: hotel, court, harbour, prison.

If you are reading the collection for the first time, the natural order is: the written story first, then the photos on this page to place the locations, then the video records and the document pages in sequence.

The people who appear throughout these records are profiled on the people involved page.
